Maude Blondin has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Université de Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada, since September 2020. She is the head of the Multiobjective Optimization REsearch lab (MORE Lab) at UdeS, which she founded. She has solid training in optimization applied to practical systems, with advanced skills in distributed optimization algorithms applied to multiagent systems. Her current research is driven by developing new distributed optimization algorithms to broaden the range of operations for multiagent systems and optimize problems related to energy management and delivery routing and scheduling problems.

She is becoming recognized as an expert in optimization and control. Invited by an editor from Springer, she published a book on the recent progress of optimization in control in 2021. She coedited two contributed books in the Springer Optimization and Its Applications series. She is a Subject Editor for the Operations Research Forum journal. She has won several awards and grants corroborating her expertise and the impact of her research. Most notably, she received the Young Researcher Prize from the International Society of Global Optimization in the Summer of 2023. Prof. Blondin is committed to continually pursuing excellence and inspiring the next generation of engineers and scholars to be resilient and act toward what they want.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Maude is an avid age-group triathlete. She finds joy and inspiration in swimming, biking, and running.
